This morning I was reviewing my photo library and came across an image for the rules for being human (according to some ancient Sanskrit and that also seem to vary from nine to twelve rules, not surprised there’s a variation on this🥴) and I’m sharing them here, all twelve rather than nine because who doesn’t want a few extra rules this go round?
- You will receive a body.
- You will learn lessons.
- There are no mistakes, only lessons.
- A lesson is repeated until it is learned.
- Learning lessons does not end.
- “There” is no better than “Here.”
- Others are merely mirrors of you.
- What you make of your life is up to you.
- Life is exactly what you think it is.
- Your answers lie inside you.
- You will forget all of this.
- You can remember it whenever you want.
Sooo…after this how much is there left to be known?
Well, I’ve never been much of a rule follower, I do appreciate some of the ones in this list more than others, like what I make of my life being up to me and learning lessons never ending. Others feel like they were created to be broken (or at the very least, questioned), like others being mirrors of me and “There” being no better than “Here”.
Today I’ll invite you to consider these points and how they may help you to feel less uncomfortable with whatever unknown lies out there as you move through your day and life.
