A friend recently shared with a group that I’m a part of that today is “Blue Monday”, something I’d never heard of (and rightfully so, as it got its start in the UK, where my friend is from and I am not!) but have been thinking about since yesterday when I learned of it.
When I went searching around for more on the history of this “bollocks” holiday, I started stumbling across the response by some other folks who wanted to challenge the concept of the “world’s most depressing day” in the form of “Brew Monday”, which I totes adore given it’s all about connecting with a cuppa and checking in on loved ones (or anyone really) to see how they’re doing.
Kinda reminds me of the granny booths I think I wrote about not too long ago as well.
You’ve still got time! Put the kettle on and if you’re on this side of the pond like I am, and maybe even further west where it’s earlier in this “dismal” day, ring a long lost friend or go knock on the neighbors door and bring them some love in whatever form you’ve got – even if it’s just that cuppa tea ya just made!
