For the last few weeks I’ve been participating in a training that was born from the book Active Hope by Joanna Macy & Chris Johnstone and one of the most recent processes that I engaged in inspired today’s entry.
While it wasn’t about sleep, I was directed to sleep as a result of the process and that’s what I’m going to share with you today. How is your sleep anyway?
Can you close your eyes for some time right now? If you do, and you’re in a fairly comfortable position, would you or could you fall asleep?
While I could take a deep dive on the power of sleep/napping, I’m going to just direct you here for a few minutes to consider this form of self love.
Practically everyone and everything is tired, it doesn’t have to be this way. The more love (and rest) we can give our selves, the more we can heal what’s ailing all around us.
Take some time to journal right now about how honoring rest (and sleep in particular) benefits you and whether there’s anything you want to do about increasing this component of your life.
Then close your eyes for a few minutes more….in a comfortable position….one that’s so comfortable you may even drift off for a bit.
